* SPECIAL EPISODE * It's Mental Health Awareness week in the UK and the theme is kindness, and so this week we are being super kind and delivering THREE epic podcast guests for you, each sharing their strategies on good mental health and the impact of kindness on our wellbeing.

Today’s guest is Jasmine Hemsley, a three-time best-selling author, the Founder of Hemsley + Hemsley and East by West,  a TV presenter, chef, food and health writer, restaurateur and nutrition & wellness expert.

With a passion for eating well to feel happier, healthier and more energised, Jasmine uses her platform to promote a 360-degree approach to health and during the Corona virus has been sharing incredible content on all aspects of wellbeing via her Instagram account (check this listings page for all her latest events, including lunchtime sound baths, wellness workshops and day retreats).

In today’s conversation we talk about:

  • how kindness goes with gratitude: if you have something to give, it means you have something

  • how taking wellbeing and self-help events online means we can touch and help more people

  • how to use meditation to learn what we are really feeling and thinking

  • positivity breeding more positivity: if you’re handling lockdown ok then it’s your job to share that good energy

  • how kindness makes the giver feel good and also passes an energetic buzz on to someone else

  • how we can always find stillness within

  • that if we want our loved ones to look after themselves better we need to look after ourselves first, to show them how

ABOUT THE KEEP CALM SERIES - MAY 2020

The Keep Calm, Stay Well series is a collection of bite-sized podcasts from Shelf Help featuring our favourite authors and experts sharing their wellbeing strategies, and designed to help us all find some calm amongst the Coronoavirus chaos.

We want Shelf Help to be a resource to help you guys stay calm, positive and present in these challenging times and so are asking the experts how they are staying well mentally, physically and spiritually.

We’re turning around these interviews pretty quickly from our lo-fi barn in Norfolk BUT these conversations are pure HIGH vibes and packed with useful and inspiring information (and the tech is improving daily so we really appreciate your patience and support).

💛
