BIBLIOTHERAPY
Private sessions offering support and guidance on how reading can support your mental and emotional health
Want to start reading more self-help but have no idea where to start?
Start here!
As a journalist, an unapologetic self-help evangelist and somebody living a happy and fulfilling life by design, Shelf Help founder Toni loves sharing book recommendations and personal development strategies and techniques.
There’s lots of value in joining our online membership and community Read-alongs, but after lots of requests for something a bit more bespoke, Toni is now also offering a limited number of 1-2-1 sessions focused on you and your reading habits.
Bibliotherapy: The use of books for therapeutic purposes, to improve psychological well-being. Through the incorporation of carefully selected literary works, therapists can guide people in treatment on a journey of self-discovery.
In a 50-minute (online) session Toni will help you explore the areas of your life that could most benefit from focus right now.
And whether you’re looking for more healing, happiness or growth in your life, together you’ll:
look at what and how you already read
uncover any obstacles to your self-development journey so far
identify where you want to go next
create a hit list of inspiring and useful reads that will cut through the self-help shelf overwhelm and move you forward
