Monday (well-being) Club: A healing evening retreat

This month we have been gifted with FIVE Mondays, and so we want to use this extra Monday evening to add a little nourishment to your body, mind and soul.

In line with the latest BOTM title we are big believers in the need to top up our energy banks when we can in order to cope with the rest of life, and while we can’t escape on an actual retreat right now, instead we can bring a retreat to you via the magic of Zoom.

This 2-hour online event will feature everything we love about real-life retreats, including:

  • connection

  • reflection

  • journaling

  • meditation

  • yoga/movement

  • sound healing

Our intention is that you leave it feeling peaceful, hopeful, nourished, uplifted and supported.

THE LINE-UP

This event will be a 2-part session, and you are welcome to join for both/either depending on how you are feeling on the day.

PART ONE, from 7pm: Hosted by Toni and the shelf help. Hosts

This session will start with some guided group journaling and reflection time.

We will then split into smaller groups to share and listen. NB these sessions will be held in a ‘sharing circle’ style (rather than the usual conversational style of our book clubs) so that people have a chance to be heard as well as really listen (guided by our Hosts) so you will be expected to participate and have your mic and camera on.

You will need:

  • a private/quiet space

  • paper/notebook/journal and pen

Suggested:

  • cosy clothes

  • a candle

  • your favourite herbal tea (or hot choc also acceptable)

  • water

  • healthy snacks

-

PART TWO, from 8pm : Hosted by our our gorgeous friend Caro B

This session is all about getting out of our head and into our body as a way to process anything that came up for us in Part One/support us generally through the week.

It will include a combination of gentle yoga, stretching, breath and sound healing practices designed for all levels and we’ll conclude the session with a short, guided bedtime meditation.

You will need:

  • cosy clothes, extra layers recommended

  • a quiet space big enough for you to lie down and stand up

  • blankets and cushions

Suggested:

  • bluetooth headphones

  • a yoga mat

  • water
